Patiently Expecting

Hello, loyal readers! So glad you are with me today so we can talk about a topic that many may not like to hear. Hopefully, you will not be in that category I am referring to. Even if you are, you may see it differently by the end of this blog post. I truly believe it may be for you!

The word I will be sharing is the word patience. Oh, no! Perhaps this is NOT what you wanted to read about this week. However, let me shed some light on this word. First, let’s look at the definition of it. It is defined as the capacity to tolerate or accept delay, trouble, or suffering without getting angry or upset.

You might be asking; how can you not get upset or angry when there is a delay in your situation? When you intentionally quiet your emotions, it will bring peace inside of you. As you evaluate your situation, you proceed in putting into action what you can accomplish. You are actively waiting for what you desire.

Let what you are desiring produce an expectation of the outcome. This in turn will produce a joy of anticipation that will carry you until it becomes a reality. You are moving in the right direction with your actions along with your strength to persevere even with time itself.

Patience is not the ability to wait, but how you behave while waiting. Patience attracts two great friends which are peace and joy; it brings near that which is far. Peace and joy are produced inside of you, and it is not determined by external situations. It is a deliberate choice one makes by waiting patiently expecting for the moment that will change everything.

With that said, I encourage you to choose intentionally, joyfully, peacefully, and patiently expect what you are hoping for. It will come at the right moment and at the right time you could not have planned it better. Why? Simply put, God hears your prayers!

“I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry.” Psalm 40:1

Peace, Love, and Joy!
